Vocal ensemble Capella Cracoviensis and musical ensemble Capriccio Stravagante, led by harpsichordist and conductor Skip Sempé, perform the program "Adieu, monsieur Rameau" during the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2018.
The program features an arrangement of the renowned French requiem "Messe des morts" by Jean Gilles. The arrangement, most likely by François Rebel and François Francoeur, was created specifically for the memorial service of Rameau. Rebel and Francoeur rewrote the mass by adjusting the instrumentation and adding passages and allusions to Rameau's work.
