" Spyro the Dragon "
Yes, it's taken some time, but there's finally a proficient, fully 3D platform game for the PlayStation. It's impossible to escape not mentioning the last attempt at this, SISA's Blasto, so let's get that out of the way right here in the beginning: Insomniac's Spyro the Dragon excels over Blasto in every way imaginable. It has better graphics, a far more useable camera setup, tighter control, it isn't incredibly difficult, and is much, much more fun.

In Gateway to Glimmer wordt Spyro het draakje per ongeluk naar de wereld Avalar gebracht. Dit is een land zonder draken waarin hij het op moet nemen tegen de reptielentovenaar Ripto.
Deze platformgame bevat allerlei nieuwe mogelijkheden ten opzichte van het eerste deel. De game bevat bovendien grote baasgevechten en een aantal mini-games.

Spyro 2 injects a dose of soul and variety into a game that was already pretty fun to play.
The original Spyro was a technical feat for the PlayStation: It gave us a fully 3D, pop-up-free world, the likes of which we'd only seen in a few titles on the Nintendo 64. Its presentation was exceedingly top-notch on a system that was starting to show signs of age (even last year), and the level design and gameplay also held to high standards. Its downside? The game was over a little too quickly, and its stages felt a bit cookie-cutter toward the end. Spyro 2, however, injects a dose of soul and variety into a game that was already pretty fun to play.

Spyro 3 plays almost exactly the same as the previous titles in the series, with a few notable exceptions. There are quite a few playable characters other than just the Dragon, each with their own set of controls to master.
