The "Battleship" soundtrack album featuring Steve Jablonsky (Transformers) original score plus a track written and performed by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will be released on May 8, 2012. "Your Touch" by The Black Keys which is featured in the film's trailer is not included the soundtrack album. "Battleship" is R&B singer Rihanna 's movie debut, playing the role as Petty Officer Raikes. She will most likely be handling guns in the film, which explains why she is not featured in the soundtrack . "Battleship" is based on the boardgame of the same name, and follows the story of a US Navy fleet which is forced to battle aliens, known as the Regents, who arrive on Earth to build a power source in the ocean. Besides Rihanna, the film stars Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker and Taylor Kitsch.
